On November 2nd 2009 Micheal Specter and I met as the District of Columbia Lab to support the Berlin Wall Commemoration held by the George Washington University Gelman Library.
As with our last attempt, we implemented Graffiti Research Lab’s original presentation of L.A.S.E.R. Tag. LASER Tag is an open source application based on open frameworks, which uses a camera and projector to capture an intense point of light (defined by a laser pointer) and instantaneously project a ‘brush stroke’ over the point defined by the laser. This processing allows the user to create brush stokes, which can be used to mimic graffiti. Unlike spray paint, the image lasts only as long as the projector is active or the user clears the canvas.
