- 1¾ lbs firm tofu
- Vegtable oil
- Cornstarch
- 11 tbsp butter
- 12 small shallots
- 8 fresh chilies
- 12 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp ginger
- 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 3 tbsp light soy sauce
- 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 5 tsbp coarsely crushed black peppercorns
- 16 small and thin green onions
